Coach Matt Eberflus said this week that he wants to play the Bears’ starters for the first half of the preseason finale in order to build momentum for Week 1’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. It’s working so far. Fields has looked cool, calm, and composed so far.
Justin Fields was 5-of-5 for 55 yards and a touchdown while rushing for nine yards on the Bears’ second series, which went seven plays and 80 yards for the score. After a three-and-out to open, strong response from the starting offense.
