NFC North: Lions first-round pick Jameson Williams returns to practice (NFC North)

The NFL announced the suspension of five players, including four Detroit Lions, for violating the league’s gambling policy.

Wide receivers Quintez Cephus and DJ Moore have been suspended indefinitely. Stanley Berryhill and 2022 first-round pick Jameson Williams have been suspended for six games.

Jameson Williams is the biggest name to get suspended, and his absence will have a massive effect on the Lions early-season plan. Williams was selected 12th overall after an incredible 2021 season with the Crimson Tide. He was considered the top big-play weapon in the 2022 draft despite coming off a torn ACL a few months earlier.
