The Chicago Bears will be in the 2024 free-agent running back market, as expected, according to NFL inside Adam Schefter. The running back they’ll make a major push for, however, isn’t a name we’ve heard so far.

It’s D’Andre Swift.

The NFL’s legal tampering window opened at Noon eastern on Monday, and just minutes later, Schefter tweeted this bomb:

Swift, 25, set a career-high in rushing yards with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023, running for 1,049 yards and five scores. He added 39 catches for 214 yards and score.

D’Andre Swift is considered one of the NFL’s better all-around running backs, and at just 25 years old (he’ll be 25 the entire 2024 season), he profiles as a player who can be around for more than just a season or two.

While most national reports had the Chicago Bears connected to bigger-name players like Saquon Barkley and Josh Jacobs, Swift would represent a massive upgrade in explosive ability over Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson.

We’ll have more updates as they become available.
