How D’Andre Swift found his groove for the Bears in Week 6
Chicago Bears running back D’Andre Swift has established himself as the clear lead back after a dominant Week 6 performance.
The Chicago Bears have been searching for consistency and efficiency in the running game for quite some time now, and some big plays along the way sure would be nice.
D’Andre Swift checked both of those boxes in Monday night’s big road win over the Washington Commanders, racking up over 160 total yards and delivering one of the most important plays of the game on a long catch-and-run touchdown.
How did Swift finally find his groove in the Chicago backfield? Emory Hunt from CBS Sports explains:
Swift has clearly established himself as the Bears’ lead back on all three downs, despite preseason talk that he could lose significant snaps and touches to either Roschon Johnson or rookie Kyle Monangai.
Six weeks into the season, the experienced veteran continues to prove that he can be a productive workhorse for the Chicago offense, and if he can keep putting up these kinds of numbers on a weekly basis, opposing defenses will be put on notice.
