Studs and duds from Chicago Bears’ crushing Week 14 loss to Packers
The Chicago Bears lost a heartbreaking game to the Green Bay Packers in Week 14. Here’s who stood out as a stud, and who struggled as a dud.
DUD: Kevin Byard
Byard has been an absolute superstar all season, but he struggled against the Packers’ speedy receivers in Week 14. He was a big reason why Christian Watson went off for 89 yards and two touchdowns.
There’s no doubt that Byard is one of the best safeties in the NFC this year. There’s also no doubt that Sunday wasn’t his best day.
STUD: D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai
It’s easy to cheer for the Bruise Brothers, Swift and Monangai. They combined for 120 rushing yards against a Packers’ run defense that’s one of the best in the NFL.
Ben Johnson’s decision not to run either Swift or Monangai on fourth-and-1 will be a big question he’ll face in the coming days; both runners were powering through would-be tacklers throughout the second half.
